Music can speak to our hearts more than anything else. The album contains songs that many find peace and comfort in. Johan Stengård really paints in autumn colors with his saxophone. It feels good to publish an album like this in connection with All Saints' Day.
We recognize titles like "Hold My Heart" and "Consolation Song". The album also contains an original song - "Your hands" - dedicated to a beloved aunt with beautiful, loving, warm hands. The interpretation of "I Have a Dream" brings to mind Martin Luther King's famous speech. Johan Stengård's heartfelt version of "Gammal fäbodpsalm" was played for the first time in Thailand after the tsunami during the memorial service together with the Swedish royal couple where Johan was invited by the Thai government.
The album is produced and arranged by the multi-musician Ulf Esborn in Hit Hall Studios, Alingsås in the middle of the Corona pandemic. This at a time when the need for music for the soul is greater than ever.
For forty years, Johan Stengård has been one of Sweden's most appreciated and in-demand instrumental soloists, with around a hundred concerts a year and more and more international performances in Europe and the USA. About twenty own CD albums, participating in most TV shows, played with many of the great national and international artists such as Michael Bolton, ABBA, Celine Dion, Tomas Ledin, Jan Malmsjö, Eartha Kitt, Nelson Riddle, Harry Belafonte, Lena Horne, Tommy Steele, Sammy Davis J: r and others. In recent years, the King and Queen have chosen Johan to appear on several official state visits abroad.
