UK pop-rock outfit Lawson were formerly known as The Grove, but changed their name after lead singer Andy Brown was diagnosed with a brain tumour. His doctor during his treatment was called Dr. Lawson, which became the four-piece’s name. Many of the songs from their debut album Chapman Square were written after the breakup of Brown’s long-term relationship to The Saturdays singer Mollie King. Although dealing with heartache, here their music contains breezy and uplifting melodies showcased in single “Taking Over Me”.
