MOTHERING SUNDAY
Morgan collaborated with director Eva Husson for the third time on this Alice Birch penned narrative feature “Mothering Sunday”, based on Graham Swift’s novel. Produced by Number 9 Films & Film 4, starring Olivia Coleman, Colin Firth, Odessa Young and Josh O’Connor.
“Set over a day in 1924, the story follows Jane Fairchild (Young), a maid in the Niven household, who has the day off to celebrate Mothering Sunday while Mr and Mrs Niven (Firth and Colman) attend a lunch to celebrate the engagement of their neighbor’s only remaining son, Paul (O’Connor), to Emma Hobday. Jane rejoices at her freedom on an unseasonably hot, beautiful spring day.”

A classical pianist, cellist and vocalist, Morgan Kibby soloed with orchestra, sang with the San Francisco Opera, jazz ensembles and musical theater in her youth. Upon graduating the Lycée Français, Kibby became a core member of french band M83 writing, recording and singing. Two album cycles culminated in her first platinum single with “Midnight City”, a Grammy nomination, headlining a sold out Hollywood Bowl and touring internationally with among others, Depeche Mode, The Killers and Kings of Leon.
