On her new CD, she contrasts ballads and waltzes by Liszt with their counterparts by his friend Frédéric Chopin; both composers are linked by an incomparable mastery of their compositional skills for the genre of piano literature as well as by incorporating national musical influences from their countries of origin, Hungary and Poland respectively, which earned both of them enormous popularity.
