The Backseat Boogie - Deal With The Devil (2021)

"Deal with the devil" is the band's fifth album following the release of the 2017 single "Prison Guard" (after their experiences playing in italian prisons) and the solo album by leader Michele Miko Cantù ("Letters Never Sent", 2018). Deal with the Devil is a sort of concept album where the common thread is none other than the thin line that divides sacred and profane. In fact, you'll constantly find references to both sexuality and spirituality, in a continuous intertwining of stories and characters on the edge between salvation and perdition.

The Backseat Boogie was born in the Milan area of Italy in 2007. They started out as a Neo-Rockabilly combo and then evolved creating a more heterogeneous sound, mixing Rockin' Blues, Country, Boogie, Surf and Roots-music, always keeping a strong rock'n'roll attitude.
They have intergrated a wild guitar, a solid rhythm section, saxophone, harmony vocals and sometimes even a banjo to create a sound that is uniquely their own. The majority of their repetoire consists of self penned songs about everyday life. Their witticism shows in the ironic and smart lyrics.
