Keeping busy during Air's hiatus after the release of 2012's Le Voyage dans la Lune, Jean-Benoît Dunckel collaborated with New Young Pony Club's Lou Hayter as Tomorrow's World and also worked with Bang Gang's Bardi Jóhannsson as Starwalker. The duo previewed its music in late 2013 with the single "Bad Weather," which played like a blend of Dunckel and Jóhannsson's main projects.
