Butter Wouldn’t Melt – Nick Burfield, Andrea Reid and Derek Burfield – will melt your heart with their soulful stories, vibrant voices and faraway fables. They are proud to be launching their debut album “1931” and excited to be kicking off their North lsland tour at the Wellington Folk Festival!

Their original material is presented with a unique blend of dulcimer, whistles, guitar, double bass and soaring counter-melodies. Their sound is raw and familiar, yet still manages to surprise. Each song is filled with dancing harmonies and country and blues-inspired fingerpicking, creating an old-time vibe. Butter Wouldn’t Melt sing of New Zealand history, long-lost lovers, fairytales and (very) distant serial-killer relatives.
