Kate Dillingham, Jory Vinikour - J.S. Bach: Sonatas for Viola da gamba & Harpsichord, BWV 1027-1029 (2016) [Hi-Res]

The works on this recording, originally composed for viola da gamba and harpsichord, are performed beautifully here on cello and harpsichord. Internationally acclaimed musicians Kate Dillingham and Joy Vinikour bring a brilliant historically informed performance into this album. The inspiration for this album stemmed from Ms. Dillingham’s work with legendary cellist Bernard Greenhouse. Working with the scores belonging to Mr. Greenhouse gave Dillingham a connection to the personal and longstanding tradition of artists interpreting Bach’s music.
