Accordion anatomy reflects the effects of the aesthetic revolution of accordion music, which took place in Scandinavia in the second half of the 20th century, thanks to the activity of an outstanding Danish accordionist, composer, teacher and promoter of accordion art - Mogens Ellegaard (1935–1995). Ellegaard, in collaboration with a group of composers from all three Scandinavian countries, i.e. Denmark (Ole Schmidt, Per Nørgård, Vagn Holmboe), Norway (Arne Nordheim) and Sweden (Torbjörn Lundquist), initiated "a specific mission of creating a new library artistic accordion literature. It was aimed at a permanent break with the despised pedigree of an instrument associated only with the sphere of popular and popular music ”(Grzegorz Palus).
The colorful repertoire, selected and performed by the initiator of the project - Grzegorz Palus, is considered a pillar of the development of the accordion art of the 20th century.
