The Scorpios - Let's Go (2022) [Hi-Res]

The Scorpios are a band originally form Sudan that melds Arabic rhythms and guitar chops (and a kind of swooning cyclical ecstasy) with a raw Eastern funk feel, properly dismantling cultural barriers in pursuit of a unifying rhythmic bliss. Heavy bass, synths, horns and percussions drive through traditional Sudanese forms to create a sound that owes as much to Detroit as it does to Khartoum.

All tracks recorded qt Abbey Rd Studios on 23rd March 2018 apart from Track 1 recorded at Ormiston Grove and Track 6 recorded and mixed live at Opera de Lyon, France Sept 28th 2019
