The programme on this CD comprises Secular Spanish Tonos (songs) from the whole of the Spanish Baroque period. This is a genre of music which has had very little research dedicated to it over the years and it is therefore all the more welcome that ensemble Regina Iberica and their director Laura Casanova, perform these enchanting pieces with much musicalilty and dedication.
