Freshly crowned with the German Folk Music Award, Bube Dame König explore the fantastic dream worlds of folklore on their fourth studio album - this time by water

"Von der Quelle bis zur See" gathers thirteen lovingly arranged and lavishly produced songs, including surprising versions of almost forgotten German-language folk songs like "Ach Elslein" and "Es steht ein Lind in jenem Tal" as well as an almost spherical arrangement of "Das Wandern ist des Müller Lust".

Already on their debut album "Traumländlein" - awarded the German Record Critics' Prize in 2015 - the trio made it clear that its musical horizon by no means ends at the national border. With the two subsequent albums "Nachtländlein" and "Winterländlein" followed two equally great concept albums. On the new record, too, there are again numerous songs that clearly show the borrowings from modern Irish folk. The groove of the single "Tuvalu" borrows from the Spanish rumba flamenco. And with "Heimkehr" there is even a song whose verse melody is inspired by the Turkish fishing song "Da lar gibi dalgalari".
