After a long drunken night in the Magic Boogie Barn, somewhere deep in the ‘backcorner’, guitarist Hendrik-Jan Lovink finds an odd little note. On it its written; ‘Hendrik-Jan: Faico Faico’. Without having any clue as to what it means the band jumps in the studio to record the second album of The Backcorner Boogie Band; Faico Faico! The album was recorded live and analogue and will be released by Suburban Records on the 17th of January 2014.
Hendrik-Jan build the Magic Boogie Barn, a huge building smack in the middle of the Achterhoek, with a bar, a porch and of course; a stage. It’s here where the band will present their new album for an exclusive audience on the 18th of January. After the release of the debut album in 2012 the Backcorner Boogie Band was off to a very good start. After appearances in the 3FM studio and on DWDD the band toured throughout Holland. With shows in Melkweg, Amsterdam and Atak, Enschede and festivals such as FestyLand, Zwarte Cross, Brabant Open Air, Ribs and Blues and Waterpop.
