Chinese pianist Chang Li is a solo and collaborative pianist based in China, who has a Master’s Degree on Piano Performance at the Mannes School of Music in New York.
Having performed at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, he now joins KNS Classical with a CD that goes from modern to classical: Trace Back.
The CD starts with an attractive and thoughtful Nocturne by living American composer Lowell Liebermann and ends with the lively Scarlatti’s Sonata in C Major K. 159. The highlights of the CD are Scriabin’s 5 Preludes op. 16 and Schubert’s 4 Impromptus op. 90, where one can enjoy Chang Li’s musical, sensitive and nuanced playing.
