The singer-songwriter Susanne Kirchland has presented a strong soul jazz album - on May 20th she will present "My Man is Music" in the Alte Brauerei in Stegen.
Kirchland is accompanied by four outstanding musicians: co-composer Philipp Rosplesch on guitar (Tonunion, Mila Masu, Vokale Küche Rairda), Sebastian Osthold on piano and keyboards (Osthold/Salpietro, Blumentopf, Hundling), Thomas Simmerl on drums (Söhne Mannheims, Peter Frampton) Karsten Gnettner on double bass (Bobby McFerrin, Howard Jones, the young tenors).
The singer, who received classical singing training e.g. on Broadway, inspired by her unmistakable and touching singing, which combines jazz and soul and can express so many things, sometimes challenging, sometimes full of longing. "It's about pain, joy, love, laughter," says Kirchland. "It means so much to me that I was able to record my songs with excellent musicians and express everything that has defined my life. If you allow yourself feelings that touch you, it always touches the audience as well.”
