Delusional Mind - Melted into Air (2022) [Hi-Res]

MIA is a mellow electronic jazz record with a drummer and bass player following the lead of German jazz pianist, Yannis Anft, who provides synth and composition. All in all, it’s smooth sailing comfortable listening. It is jazz but there’s a lot of ambient and elements of prog thrown in. It’s sort of like if Jon Anderson were talking a nap and the rest of Yes all stole a Xanny from his medicine cabinet and decided to make a jazz record. Ultimately, the songs are good. The track Moonbeams might be a nod to Bill Evans. The melody reminds me of The Spinners famous song, Could It Be I’m Falling in Love. If you’re looking for a wind down with something new this is a good choice.
