7th SENSE - Light In Chaos (2022)

'Light in Chaos' is a work consisting of nine original tunes, which feature notable musicians from the UK, such as Glasgow based trombonist - Liam Shortall and Peckham based percussionist – Will Fry, as well as from Romania, like jazz singer – Luiza Zan and saxophonist – Alexandru Arcuș.

The album explores the journey, experiences and challenges the band has been through and faced together, but equally as individual artists too. Despite these, the five musicians have always found the strength and courage to keep on going and pursuing their dreams. The journey they’ve been on has thought them that no matter how hard times can get, there is always a light we can cling onto in the chaos that is surrounding us. The wish to bring a ray of hope and convey this message with the audience has become thus an important part of their music and identity as a band.

“This album should’ve been released in 2021 but it didn’t because I put an end to it on the 16th of June. I can’t even describe what I’ve been through those few months and I won’t even try. But what I can tell is that I was extremely close to giving up and also lost it a few times. I shut myself away from absolutely everybody and I needed almost a year to process everything that happened to me. But what I learned is that it was ok to feel miserable because deep down I knew that at some point light will shine through all this chaos. And it sure did. Brighter than I could’ve ever imagined. I’ve learned that we often forget about the big picture and zoom in too much on the little pieces. I couldn’t have imagined a better release day and it is for sure a full circle moment. Last year on the 16th of June I put an end to the album, this year on the 16th of June the album is released. I thought I lost the war…but I only lost a battle. The war has been just won because light always prevails!”. - Laura Benedek
