This release includes a tone poem of Henri Rabaud, pupil of Massenet and former Prix de Rome, Chausson’s captivating Poème for violin and orchestra, featuring Jean Mouillère, and two works by Walloon Guillaume Lekeu. The latter tragically died at the age of 24, leaving an Adagio of unfathomable depth and sadness.
