The two LPs reissued on this CD were originally released in 1983 and 1984 respectively. Although neither album spawned a major hit single, songs like "Extraordinary Girl", "Summer Fling", "I'm The Kind Of Man", "Give My Love To The Ladies", "House Of Fire" and "Put Our Heads Together" proved that The O'Jays could still turn out extremely high-quality R&B music and that PIR veterans such as Dexter Wansel, Bunny Sigler, Gamble and Huff and even The O'Jays' own Eddie Levert and Walter Williams could take the classic "Philly Sound" effortlessly into the '80s.
