Celebrating the 30th anniversary from first release in 1992. Born in the Swiss Alps from the Phoenix ashes of Rock band OXIDO “Breaking Down the Walls”. Gunshy deliver their new album! "Mayday" is a fine piece of good time AOR in the vein of all great Rock n’ Roll from the 80’s and early 90’s, with plenty of sing-along choruses and a good dose of keyboards.
In 1990, the Swiss hard rock band Oxido published the debut album "Breaking Down The Walls" on Mercury Records. As the hoped-for success did not materialize, OXIDO broke up and the musicians John Luke, Patrick Reilly and Mark Levin decided to look for new musicians and found a new band. They found Steve De Biasi (guitar) and Max Zack (drums), who were both in an early line-up of Oxido, and in 1994 they founded the band GUNSHY.
In 1995, GUNSHY released their debut album "Mayday" on the German Long Island Records label. In the studio, the prominent musicians Jamie St. James (from Black 'N Blue), Todd Jensen (Hardline, Harlow, David Lee Roth) and Tommy Thayer (from Black 'N Blue, Harlow and Kiss) were responsible for the backing vocals. Unfortunately GUNSHY did not have the hoped-for success with "Mayday", and broke up after only one disc.
