This is the real deal: a solid hour of Cajun music from the heart of Louisiana filled with songs that were all originally released on a label sequestered in Ville Platte. Kicking off with Nolan Cormier's "Hee Haw Breakdown," the set includes dynamic tracks from the Balfa Brothers, Wallace Derouen, Nathan Abshire, Rambling Aces, Lionel Cormier, Mamou Playboys, Doris Matte, Aldous Mouton, Adam Herbert, Barro with the Teardrops, Austin Pitre, Joe Bonsall, D.L. Menard, and Badeaux and the Louisiana Aces. There isn't a bad cut here, and you won't find American music any more real than this. Amazing.
