Playing and interacting with these two great musicians and performers —Horacio Fumero and David Xirgu— is always an honor and a pleasure forme. I define myself not only as a jazzman, but also a creator. I love creating different types of music, I'm always looking for new forms, new emotions. In other words, new ways of expressing life experiences, throughsound. But certainly, Jazz has been —and will be formany others— the first music that gave me the impetus and a clear context to do it: the art of improvisation.

I feel it happened like this because this music really wants to get ahead, always mixing freely with any other music and aesthetics. It's really an open language and above all it's about listening to each other. It is with this deep feeling that I play Jazz and I feel honored to do it with Horacio and David, for their enormous talent, their own musical experiences and for the respect I have for themas improvisers and musicians.

So I really want to thank these two “masters” for sharing their art and wisdom with me. I learn a lot playing with you. After our 2011 album "Live at the Jamboree Jazz Club in Barcelona," I really wanted to know how good this trio would sound in a studio recording.

The recording session took place in 2015. After these 7 years, I am glad that the album is finally released, after Covid 19 and so on. I really want to thank Jordi Pujol —once again— for making it happen and supporting my work as an artist.

This album is dedicated to the memory of Miquel Roger Casamada (1954-2017), the recording engineer of this album. What an incredible sound and great vibe recording with you in your studio in Jafre de Ter (Girona), everything was easy and fun. We will all join the stars one day.
