Dervis Can Vural - Carmen Temporis (2022) [Hi-Res]

This is the third album of the Carmen series, where we go backwards in time, first returning to childhood, and then to the beginning of the universe. As usual, the track titles constitute a poem, and as usual there is one song in the album ("it's almost time...") where the lyrics are the track titles.

My compositions are experiments in counterpoint and impressionism sourcing middle eastern motifs. Most of my work explores texture, as opposed to harmony and timbre.
I was trained as a concert pianist, but later on became a theoretical physicist. ~ Dervis Can Vural
