The Paganini of piccolo, said Jean-Pierre Rampal about his former student. Jean-Louis Beaumadier is one of the foremost representatives of the piccolo in the world. He performs throughout Europe, Israel, the US, Senegal and Brazil, as well as having played in excess of 1,000 concerts throughout France. He also performs frequently as soloist on radio and television. His discography amounts to some twenty CDs. Postcards: World Piccolo, Vol. 2, his eighth album for Skarbo, features works of composers from Canada to the Balkans, with Mr. Beaumadier partnering with many different musicians.
