Charlemagne Palestine - Organo Rinascimentale Non Temperato (2015)

"Through my desire to find a sound form that rivaled Abstract Expressionist painters like Rothko, Newman, Still, around 1965 I attempted with the help of a 19th century sound treatise by Helmholtz, "On the Sensation of Tones", and my own exhaustive experimentation with the pipe organ and early electronic synthesizers, to develop a constantly changing molecudle like organism as a continuous sound form.

By 1977 those investigations becase Schlingen Blängen, a work for days nonstop in sonic constant chemical acoustic + architectural evolution + transformation in space, there have been many versions under many different circumstances, for the Angelica Festival 2004 I am creating a new version Schlingen Blängen for Organo Rinascimentale Non Temperato."-Charlemagne Palestine, May 2004
