Ever Surf - Couch Surfing (2022) Hi-Res

The links between the worlds of skateboarding, surfing and indie rock have long fed the imaginations of pop culture: the album covers of Dick Dale, the Beach Boys... via the cinematic road trip Endless Summer, by the adventures of the carefree and lost youth of "Kids" by Larry Clark, and of course by a multitude of clips including "100%" by Sonic Youth or "Animal" by Moon Duo. On the side of the Flippin' Freaks label, and one of its little proteges, Ever Surf, the trend is not really towards an excessive aestheticization of reality by staging tricks and skate figures, and even less on the side of a glorification of performance. Thus in his latest clip shot in Super 8 by the very inspired Dutch videographer and photographer Nahmlos, Viktor Pokorny alias Ever Surf invokes, with tenderness and romanticism, the "slowlife & slacker" state of mind which also fits the lifestyle skaters, surfers and indie rock musicians. A few days before the release of the album "Couch Surfing", Flippin' Freaks offers indiemusic the opportunity to preview this complicit video, where Ever Surf wanders between sea and asphalt with another figure of the label, the talented Siz.
