The Libertines - Anthems For Doomed Youth (Japan Deluxe Edition) (2015)

Anthems for Doomed Youth is the third studio album by British rock band The Libertines, released on 11 September 2015 via Virgin EMI Records. The band's first album released in 11 years since their split in 2004. The producer was Jake Gosling, best known for his recent work with albums by Ed Sheeran and One Direction.

The release of the album was announced in June 2015. Recording was done at Karma Sound Studios in Thailand. The album received positive reviews from music critics: NME, Pitchfork. The album contains two notable literary references, the tracks "Anthems for Doomed Youth" and "Gunga Din" refer to poems of the same title by Wilfred Owen and Rudyard Kipling, respectively. The single "Gunga Din" was released on July 2, 2015, and the second single from the album was the song "Glasgow Coma Scale Blues", released on August 20, 2015. The album will be released in three formats: digital, CD and vinyl. There will also be a Deluxe Edition on CD and a digital edition including additional tracks. The box set will include a Deluxe CD, a vinyl copy and an exclusive film.
