DanHila, (aka Danila Mazzei) was born into a musicians and artists family in Naples. With a father a guitar player, it was no surprise when she started singing at the age of 5. But not only singing, also the dance scene, caught DanHila’s attention, and from age 10 to 17, she studied at Ballet Academy of Naples with annual exams at the Academy of Marika Besobrasova in Monte Carlo (France). While studying marketing in Miami (Florida/USA) from 2001 to 2006, it was the singing and writing lyrics which got her full love and attention and she matured her musical training by performing in various clubs with an American band influenced by soul, gospel and jazz music. The American experience leads her to collaborate with the London Recording Studio in London for several sessions as a vocalist. Among her different music studies we can highlight those at the Academy of Music in Rome, Scarlatti and the technical lessons with Piera Pizzi (vocalist of Ron, one of the most famous Italian singer/songwriter) in vocal technique, jazz, blues and soul. DanHila currently lives between Rome, Vienna and London, working on the creation of her first solo album called “WHITE FLY”, which will not be an usual music album, but a concept of strong social themes in the world merged with nice music.

DanHila’s many travels around the world had brought her in contact with all kinds of people with all kind of issues: drug, poverty, abuse, diseases. And this album is dedicated to those people, and the people who selflessly help out in the world.

“My world is composed by: bad people, good people and special ones. To those last people, I dedicate my album too, a big sample is my mother!, special and rare “white flies” who knows real meaning of life, that offer help without even think to receive something back!”, says DanHila and continues “We need to face reality! LIFE is not easy at all, but with an effort we can do something small that for the globe can be a big result”.
