The album is a whimsical take on the blues genre telling the plights of lovable critters overcoming nature's challenges. They have the blues!

"Even Bugs Sing the Blues ...and some reptiles do too!" is a related work loosely based on children's stories by Eric Carle (e.g. The Very Hungry Caterpillar). Tas Cru is an an accomplished performer and songwriter well known to the blues world and is the recipient of the Blues Foundation's prestigious Keeping the Blues Alive Award in 2014 for blues education. This album is an entertaining way to introduce a new generation to the uniquely American music genre that is the blues with stories that are entertaining and familiar.
