Hochzeitskapelle - If I Think of Love (2019) [Hi-Res]

After the grandiose debut album "The World Is Full Of Songs" (2016) and the exciting collaboration with the artist Kama AIna (2018), the five Munich guys of the Hochzeitskapelle are back with a new album. "If I Think Of Love" captivates with an exciting mix of cumbia, calypso, voodoo and many other influences

A good half of the composers and original authors of the songs gathered here are already swinging in the afterlife. Morbid and moribund is what the indie-pop greats Evi Keglmaier (Zwirbeldirn), Mathias Götz (Windstärke 4), Micha and Markus Acher (The Notwist) and Alex Haas (Christian Willisohn) do on sousaphone, trumpet, percussion, viola, tuba, organ, harmonium, trombone, glockenspiel, toy piano and banjo

The concept, which already worked so well on the debut, is working again here. 14 songs peppered with newly arranged traditionals and incredibly well selected independent interpretations of well-known songs. The beginning is the title song "Windmills Of Your Mind" by Michel Legrand from "The Thomas Crown Affaire". The journey continues with "Prima Donna" by Aubry Thiriet, "Night Of The Vampires" by Jeo Meek / Moontrekkers and two songs by Elliot Smith and Laura Veirs. Small highlights are also the original "Rainbow Connection" (Muppet Movie) sung by Kermit (The Frog) or "Chanson d'Hélène" (Philippe Sarde from the movie "The Things of Life")

Once again, the wedding chapel moves in its very own cosmos of sound. Inimitable and irresistible! Tip!
