The British band the Immaculate Fools became so popular in Spain that they eventually moved there. Formed in London, England, in 1984, the Immaculate Fools was comprised of Kevin Weatherill (lead vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica, bass), Paul Weatherill (acoustic bass, backing vocals, percussion), Brian Betts (acoustic guitar, slide guitar, percussion, mandolin), and Barry Wickens (violin, dulcimer, acoustic guitar, accordion). Although the group landed on the charts in Britain, their hybrid of Celtic music, folk, and alternative rock found even more success in Spain and Germany. In 1987, their LP Dumb Poet was released in America by A&M Records and the Psychedelic Furs-esque track "Tragic Comedy" was a minor hit on college radio. The band toured with Bob Dylan, Iggy Pop, Simple Minds, the Stranglers, and the Rolling Stones; however, they grew tired of the English music scene in the late '80s and relocated to Spain, where they were superstars. In 1997, the Immaculate Fools broke up after Weatherill departed from the group. After undoing the group in 1997, Kevin Weatherill changed his name to Raymond and began his solo career and recorded several albums under the name of Dirty Ray. In 2015, Kevin regains his old name after succumbing to the temptation to re-found the Immaculate Fools. Of course, under the premise of building on the past and re-record some of his favorite songs as he always intended to sound, that is, free of the limitations imposed by the fashions of the 80's.
The new lineup of talented musicians who support Kevin in the interpretation of his favorite tracks in the career of Immaculate Fools are Adam Fuest, Linda Lamb and Phil Redfox O'Sullivan. The name Immaculate Fools and its songs are part of the history of music and continue to write, introducing us this new work, entitled "Turn The Whole World Down." A visceral and emotional album, in which we find some versions of classics of the group, with the new sound of Immaculate Fools.
