The festival is always curious about the new works of Emanuele Cisi, one of the very few world-class Italian saxophonists: most recently his 2018 concert dedicated to Lester Young is still alive in his memory. This time the adventure is completely original, perhaps beyond the imagination. The starting point concerns the concept of "distance", with the social and philosophical implications that it implies. Hence the idea of a 15-meter sailboat at sea, a group of musicians who play and record in the open sea, nature and its elements as a sound background, the presence of a great actor like Filippo Timi who gives voice to the sounds of "Far Away". And a docufilm is also born that tells, also visually, the project, animated by a repertoire crossed by the suggestion of Distance, lived and dreamed of in every form: travel, distance, spiritual and physical isolation, contact with nature always more fragile, the complexity of human relationships.

"Sailing", the beautiful song by Christopher Cross reinterpreted in an instrumental key, the famous "You've Got A Friend" by Carole King, together with original compositions by Emanuele and pieces chosen for thematic relevance, represent the schedule of a concert on which the texts written and recited by Filippo intertwine, giving rise to an unprecedented show, engaging and full of surprises.

Finally, the great quality of the musicians involved should be noted: if Micheli and Zirilli are names well known to fans for a rich historical past, a sensation will arouse the guitarist Eleonora Strino, who is becoming increasingly appreciated in the contemporary six-string scene.
