An absolutely beautiful and thoroughly smokin' release. This CD harkens back to the style of his 1996 release "First Blood". His slide playing is fantastic, full of nerve, drilled right into the bone. Mike is definitely one of a kind - a unique and enjoyable style. The sound is simple and straight forward - rocking' blues based around Kevin McKendree's pounding piano work and Mike's slide guitar. All of his Bel Airs, Snakes and Bluebloods fans will rejoice upon hearing this new release, as he lays down the many shades of the blues. Mike is one great guitarist but also blows some very impressive blues harmonica too. The disc has a darker-hued, foreboding sound that works particularly well in certain spots.
