Oh my goodness, the production! Sounds like they’re plucking their strings with spanners! I mean, so rich, deep and crisp. A lot of the time is spent on the simmering, narcotic build-ups, but then they let fly – Oh God, the heaviness! I know, I’m a wuss. I understand the Haze are fairly mellow by modern standards. They have however dragged me up to new sonic levels.

The songs are generally built around foundational musical motifs, but they evolve, and everything is satisfying. Sure, there’s a heavy psychedelic fragrance about all of it. My second stoner rock album – and of course I highly recommend the other one, Tumbleweed’s self-titled, which does not sound exactly the same as Colour Haze, but does have a similar ethic of laid back hippie heavy rock mellowness. Ziehen Sie Ihre Perlen an und drehen Sie das Volumen auf.
