The Very Big Experimental Toubifri Orchestra - Le Lac (2026) [Hi-Res]

French avant-garde large ensemble The Very Big Experimental Toubifri Orchestra delivers a narrative concept album titled Le Lac. The plot of this satirical political fable revolves around a sudden, absurd ban on swimming in a local lake, sparking resistance, existential choice, and social tension among colorful characters.

Musically blurring the boundaries between avant-garde jazz, avant-rock, musical theatre, chamber opera, and prog rock, the record features dense orchestral brass, choral responses, and surrealist storytelling to craft a collective, politically engaged sonic journey.
