Hans Rott wrote his First Symphony, his most important work — filled with groundbreaking musical ideas and a unique vision for how the symphony could develop — at a time when his younger classmate Mahler was barely getting started and his mentor Bruckner was struggling through his middle period. Jakub Hrůša presents this masterpiece alongside works by Mahler and Bruckner, shining a new light on a work which deserves to sit at the centre of the symphonic repertoire.

Mahler said,
"Rott and I seem to me like two fruits from the same tree which the same soil has produced and the same air nourished"
Mahler quotes many motifs of Rott !

We know Sebastian Weigle (into...), Leif Segerstam, Paavo Järvi, Hansjörg Albrecht, Christopher Ward,
but Hrůša is most colorful and naïf that's most suitable for Rott unless you want his insanity :)
Many thanks
