Nightshift - Made Of The Earth (2022) Hi-Res

It is now impossible to stop Nightshift these days. Since 2020, the Glasgow team has been giving us one outing per year and that means we took a huge slap last year with Zoë. Let's find out what they have in store for us for their new release called Made Of The Earth.

Following in the footsteps of their predecessor, Nightshift continues to amaze us with these complex compositions at the crossroads of post-punk and experimental pop. And that is to say that the Glaswegians have lost none of their know-how when listening to “Hologram” as an opening but also “Supermarket” and “Horseshoe” absolutely stunning in mastery.

Listening to this Made Of The Earth can be laborious for untrained ears. But during repeated listenings, the charm and the cohesion operate with among others "Trousers" and "Souvenir" where Nightshift likes to play with the senses of its listener. Adventurous and exciting with “Landlord” and “Bric a Brac” passing through the brilliant finale named “The Painting You Live With”, the new album of the Scottish group shows that their creativity remains as infallible as ever.
