Newcomer Mynolia presents dark folk and dream pop on her debut album. Already on the first song "The Bear & Shell" newcomer Mynolia shows that it doesn't really need a really captivating melody to captivate the listener to her sweet, soft voice. With a roaring outro, it almost flows into the second album song "Stall Stickers", on which Mynolia sings polyphonically in a delicate chorus with herself. Described as dark folk and dream pop with psychedelic touches, the importance of the genre dark folk is at least self-explanatory. With almost Celtic sounds, Mynolia effortlessly takes the listener into this genre. Even though the title track "All Things Heavy" is yet to come, it already seems to be announced lyrically here. "Everything's too heavy, too much to think about," Mynolia sings on "Stall Stickers," before then talking about what it feels like to walk backwards through the fog on "All Things Heavy."
