Bob Holz has released his second CD entitled Pushin on Ultimate Record. The CD features 10 tracks and has a slew of internationally ranked guests including Paulie Cerra (Bobby Blue Bland), Bill Steinway (Stevie Wonder) and Frank Stepanek (Black Uhuru). The mood is a soulful blend of blues, jazz and rock. Also join Holz is Tori Higley on vocals. Higley posesses a hauntilngly beautiful, tone soaked voice which is rooted in the early blues. Holz also throws in a pop tune called Fat Cat which highlights his unique voice. Additionallly the CD allows Holz to explore his drum style fully with tracks like A Night In Memphis. On this track he plays a solo which is tasteful and uses space in a poetic fashion. On Pushin, Holz further solidifies his reputation as an amazing drummer. There are appearances from jazz sax guru Jesse Collins,harp monster Tom Townsley and smokin slide guitar wiz George Deveny. All in all, PUSHIN is a must add to your crusin collection.
