Peter Green (29 October 1946 – 25 July 2020), is one of the greatest guitarists/singers/songwriters to have ever lived. Pure emotion and raw feeling. His time with the group was short lived, but there seemed to be a healthy onslaught of material recorded however. As the years marched by, aside from the official releases, there were box sets and compilations, archival live recordings and studio outtakes. Green Shadows: Classics and Rarities featuring Peter Green seemed to be a peculiar release. "Man of the World", which ironically enough, could not be found on any other collection. Oh sure there were variations and different takes, but this single release is the best the band ever did, and it was here. The rest of the material here was indeed rare and unreleased, quality ranging from superb to sub-par.
