Frabin - Tropical Blasè (2018)

Recorded in the second half of 2017 in his home studio, “Tropical Blasé” is being released today. With 9 songs, Frabin's 2nd official album brings a sound closer and closer to the synth-pop of the 80's. Victor Fabri, the handyman who embodies the band cites Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Neon Indian and Michael Jackson as the main influences for this new record.

The title “Tropical Blasé” came up on a trip he took at the end of 2015 going from Belém to Fortaleza by car. “I was in the middle of several tropical paradises between the North and Northeast of Brazil, including the cover photo of a beach in Piauí. These natural landscapes with minimal human interference are my favorite places. And I live on an island, also close to very natural places, and I make this dreampop with a darker tone and introspective lyrics. It's a contrast between the environment and the ideas."...
