This music represents yet another approach to Jazz and Improvisation. It is another aspect of what the infamous NYC downtown music scene has created. The cast of musicians was chosen for their forward thinking perspectives and for their unique style of expression. In addition, all the musicians here are leaders in their own right.
The sounds recorded here are a prime example of how fascinating can be a music that draws simultaneously from the modern and traditional jazz worlds as well as from the alternative rock sound. All this done with a quiet power that grows with successive listenings. The biographies of the four musicians involved speak for themselves.
