Jim Mullen has been at the top of jazz guitar lists for nearly four decades - from his work with the Average White Band and Morrissey-Mullen to more straightahead jazz projects - and this new issue shows that he has still plenty to say. The collection features a fresh look at a selection of standards, Strayhorn's `Lush Life', a composition from Bill Evans and also a sparkling new Mullen original `Medication' which will make other guitarists sit up.
