Anthéne - Shelter (2023)

"Shelter was composed alongside the album “maritime” (released by Ambientologist in fall 2021) and has a similar juxtaposition between light and dark. The album contains similar themes of uncertainty with some of the darkest melodies in the anthéne discography (particularly on “thaw”), and uneasy vocal loops in the title track. These are contrasted with the uplifting, melodic “artifact”, and the minimal closer “the glow”, which both feel sanguine by comparison, with their hopeful swells and sense of optimism."
