Shramm - Androide Scrip (2023)

Shramm´s debut „Androide Scrip“ is the 9th album in the Edition Dur series combining popular and serious music, classic (instruments) and electronic, avantgarde, experimental and – jazz. Android Scrip is a jazz record. Influenced by The Bad Plus, E.S.T., Thom York, Bush and Muse, the debut was not supposed to be Pop, Rock or Elektro. „Jazz is my style, my music“, explains Jörg Wähner who toured with Apparat and also plays drums for Bodi Bill or The DAS. „No mainstream, but simply piano, drums, bass. Period“. Playing his compositions to old friends lead into Shramm. Pianoplayer Florian Kästner and bassplayer Philipp Martin joined right away. For the production the trio got Moses Schneider on board. Usually mixing bands like Tocotronic, he had the heart to join this jazz experiment and added the (sound)cherry on the 8 cakes. A record reminding us to sit down, listen, and deal with ourselves - something important we often forget these days.
