Lorenzo Morresi - Music For Closed Airports (2021)

First was Brain Eno's Music For Airports then came The Black Dog's Music For Real Airports and now comes Music For Closed Airports by Lorenzo Morresi. The first two were heady, escapist ambient albums with abstruse references to air travel and waiting lounges, while this is a more rhythmic take. It has soaring jazz chords, bristling broken beat drums, and plenty fo library motifs as it plays out. 'Sole' is a real highlight with its icy hip hop beat and noodling chords and 'Red Planet' explores a cosmic house groove.
