Viktorija Pilatovic - Skybridges (2023)

Following up her 3 previous albums The Only Light, Stories, and Nica’s Blues, vocalist and composer Viktorija Pilatovic creates one of her most heartfelt collections to date - Skybridges. This is her fourth album as a leader, co-produced by acclaimed bassist/composer Petros Klampanis. For Pilatovic, this is a special collaboration as she has followed Petros’ musical career for years.

“Stream of consciousness and the power of inspiration” she says. “I wanted to express my admiration for nature, humanity, love, infinity, and the contrast between the immensity of the universe and our everyday life”. Despite the vulnerability and emotions that her songs often contain, Pilatovic is able to bring a sense of hope and positivity to her music. Viktorija is a true master of connecting to her inner world and bringing it onto paper. Through her music, she is able to share her deepest thoughts and emotions with the world, and in doing so, she is able to create a truly unique and powerful sound.

From the soaring peaks of the mountains to the bottom of the sea, and from the comfort of our living rooms to the shining city lights below, Skybridges takes the listener on a journey through the beauty and complexity of the world. The songs on this album are dreamlike and ethereal, creating a sense of everlasting beauty.
