Following the spectacular Rock Band and the irresistible Liszt-o-mania, LUMIÈRE releases Glam, a passionate rock song on which the singer-songwriter opens up about his life as an artist. This third single arrives a little over a month before the release of his sophomore album bearing the same name, due out on April 28th via Bonsound. GLAM is available for pre-order on vinyl, CD and digital format.
On Glam, Étienne Côté (aka LUMIÈRE) invites us to join him on stage, in the midst of an emotional roller coaster where ecstasy and excess rub shoulders with exhaustion and anguish. Consumed by the desire to perform, the singer-songwriter seeks to please his audience to the point of putting himself at risk. Through sincere lyrics, he questions his intense rock 'n' roll lifestyle, particularly the lengths he would go to for his career.
Carried by an uplifting melody and a fiery chorus (led by his faithful friends Daphné Brissette and Naomie de Lorimier),* Glam* is interwoven with the screams of a boisterous crowd sampled from a cassette recording of Beau Dommage performing at the Montreal Forum in 1984. The song is lifted by a frenetic rhythm reminiscent of our protagonist's incessant lifestyle. Along with this new track, LUMIÈRE reveals a dynamic video made of mini DV camera images and film stills that shows the recording process of the album.
