The young opera singers Linard Vrielink, Jaka Mihelač, Adam Kutny, and Erik Rosenius all joined the opera studio of the State Opera of Berlin. Together, they shared the stage in many different productions, standing as beginning opera singers next to some of the world’s most famous singers. There, they sang a wide variety of roles and were able to expand their musical range and experience.
Besides the majestic opera tradition, they all share roots in the tradition of choir singing. Therefore, they decided to come together and form a vocal quartet, singing both traditional and new music. Their ambition is to bring opera singing and choral singing together, working on new music and trying to reach a broad audience to show how modern ensemble singing can be.
In the season of 2022/2023, they will continue their international soloist careers, performing all over Europe, including the Dutch National Opera of Amsterdam, the Polish National Opera, Opera Ljubljana, the Royal Opera of Sweden, and, of course, the State Opera of Berlin.
In addition to singing solo on the opera stage, Vrielink, Mihelač, Kutny, and Rosenius will continue to collaborate as an ensemble with new and exciting projects for both recordings and live concerts.
