Big Backyard was an rock trio from Minneapolis, MN in the early 1990’s and featured Mark Wothe on guitar / lead vocals, Scott Gilpin on bass / backing vocals and Jeff Hamele on drums. The band was active from September 1991 to July 1994, regularly playing to full crowds at Minneapolis clubs such as The 400 Bar, The Uptown Bar, The Cabooze and First Avenue/7th St. Entry. Big Backyard thrived as a live band, drawing each night’s set list from a considerable catalogue of original music.
